Places To Bird

Southern Prince George's County

Piscataway Park

Go west on Bryan Point Road from Rt. 210, turn right into the gated park entrance about 1/2 mile beyond Hard Bargain Farm Nature Education Center. Follow the park road to the parking area and walk east along the trail and board walk. After the board walk, you can continue along the river front up to Mockley Point for a view of Piscataway Bay. Good for marsh birds and waterfowl. Side trails through the low, wet woods are good for forest birds. Another good park site for winter waterfowl on Piscataway Bay is Wharf Road. From Rt. 210, turn onto Farmington Road, and go about 1 mile and turn right onto Wharf Road.
