Welcome to the Southern Maryland Audubon Society

The mission of the Southern Maryland Audubon Society is "to promote appreciation, conservation, and protection of birds, other wildlife, and their natural habitats through education, research and outreach".

We would like to invite you to join us in the many ways we work to fulfill our mission. We have monthly meetings and field trips throughout most of the year, offer a variety of ways to become involved in the local birding community and produce an excellant newsletter we are proud to share with you. Please explore our website and then consider joining us for an adventure outdoors sometime. We'd love to have you.

News from the field

Electronic Osprey Update

Summer is almost over! Which means it's time for the first issue of the Osprey to turn up in your mail box or inbox. If you didn't respond with your choice for an electronic or paper Osprey before summer break you will not be receiving future newsletters. It's never to late though! Refer to the June 2010 issue on the Osprey Newsletter page of our website here for the email or snail mail address and info about how to make your preference known.

2010-2011 Program

The new program for the 2010 - 2011 season is now available! You can download a PDF version here or check the Monthly Activities page. Paper copies are also usually available at monthly meetings and at the Bookstore during special events.
